Welcome,
I’m Jaye…
I’m a somatic educator, martial artist and bodyworker, founder of YINDOJO and YinWarriorship. I currently offer movement classes and intensives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, throughout the U.S. and internationally. I also work privately with groups, organizations and individuals offering applied somatic programs in person and online.
“superb skills - great presence- a healer” - Sandy

I weave applied Daoism and conscious eros through vitality based teachings within a framework of experiential collaborative leadership and somatic activism. My approach is shaped by years of living and studying abroad in Ghana, China, Thailand, West Africa, Central Asia, and England. In China and Thailand, I immersed myself in the study of martial arts and healing practices, and how the intertwining of the two branches originates from the same root. I became fascinated with lineage based practices and knowledge that travels tacitly through transmission and embodied nuance.
Growing up with parents who were educators, I developed an early fascination with the human body. As a collegiate athlete, I spent hours practicing basketball in a state of moving meditation. My later studies in Yoga, Martial Arts, and Qigong deepened my connection to breath and body. Receiving my Master’s degree in Complementary Medicine from London formalized this exploration.
My passion is in teaching—not so much a way of doing, but a way of being. Movement is an embodied art, and we are all artists. The craft of understanding the connections between how we move and how movement informs consciousness is an endless canvas to play on. Vitality seeks expression, and my work helps others open to this truth and explore the many facets of their nature.
In addition to studying Jujutsu, Aikido, Iaido, Taiji, Qigong, and Kung Fu, Yoga and Contact Dance Improvisation have enriched my somatic approach. My bodywork journey began in Thailand, where I apprenticed with Pichest Boonthume, learning directly from the culture that birthed the practice.
Here in Santa Fe, I’ve spent four years studying within the Post-Daoist & Mythopoetic framework under Zhenevere Sophia Dao. This, along with my other studies, informs my current teachings. I’ve had the honor of learning from many phenomenal teachers, peers, and guides, whose wisdom shapes how I hold space and empower others to connect with their own innate resources.
