Billie Secular
Billie Secular (they/them/their) is a queer nonbinary mover born, raised, and continuously living in beautiful so-called Santa Fe. Billie is a lifelong learner and student of the body, mind, and land. They orient themself most deeply to collectivism, interdependence, generosity, and love. Their movement practices range from decades of classical and contemporary dance training, improvisational and choreographic forms, performance art and political practice, yogic and mindfulness practices, as well as anything they can do in the mountains whether on feet, bike, or board. Over the past three years they have been dedicated to caring for their parent with a neurocognitive degenerative and terminal disease, as well as farming in the high desert of northern nm, which have both been some of the most embodying life experiences yet. This offering grew out of their immense love, curiosity and care of the natural world, a lifelong deepening in somatic practices, and a strong orientation towards personal and collective attunement and queer coexistence.
